You will patch, configure, and automate Linux-based cloud compute environments using RHEL, Ansible, and GitHub for reviews; collaborate with global teams and vendors while supporting middleware like MQ and Apache/Tomcat on AWS, VMware, and Nutanix.

Qualifications

• Advanced Linux system administration with RHEL focus.
• Experience with patch cycles and compliance.
• Strong scripting for automation (shell, Python).
• Familiar with change control and incident resolution.
• Proven ability to lead troubleshooting during major outages.

Responsibilities

• Execute and validate RHEL patching cycles.
• Coordinate with global teams during patch windows.
• Develop and maintain utility scripts for Linux operations.
• Manage GitHub pull requests for script changes and reviews.
• Implement automation using Ansible for patching and configuration tasks.
• Own all Linux incidents and provide root cause analysis.
• Support incidents involving MQ, Apache/Tomcat, Oracle Exadata, and AWS.
• Share patching progress reports and compliance dashboards.
• Validate patching success across multiple environments.
• Work with database, middleware, and security teams during patching.
