Job summary

Precision Sourcing Australia is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to support and automate enterprise infrastructure from our Sydney base in a hybrid role.

You will manage Linux servers (RHEL/Ubuntu), troubleshoot across OS, networking and storage, and implement patches, security hardening, monitoring and automation with Ansible, Bash or Python, collaborating with security and application teams to maintain reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience administering enterprise Linux environments (RHEL/Ubuntu).
• Strong troubleshooting across Linux, networking, and storage.
• Scripting and CM tooling such as Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and optimise Linux servers across prod and non-prod.
• Troubleshoot issues across OS, networking, storage, and app infra.
• Deliver patching, upgrades, security hardening and monitoring.
• Automate tasks using Ansible and Bash or Python.
• Support incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and procedures.
