Job summary

Peoplebank is seeking an experienced Linux Engineer to administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers in large-scale environments. The role is based near the Perth CBD, on a 6-month contract that may extend or convert to permanent.

The ideal candidate will provide advanced Linux support and collaborate with mining clients and project teams. Responsibilities include installation, configuration, upgrades, performance monitoring and migrations, with emphasis on stakeholder communication and

• Proven enterprise-scale experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
• Experience with large-scale Linux environments and server administration.
• Knowledge of ITIL framework / Service Management tools.

Linux Engineer

• 6 month contract that may go permanent
• The chance to work with mining clients
• Requires Linux Redhat Admin experience

A software solutions technology provider is seeking an experienced Linux Engineer possessing experience in the administration of RedHat Enterprise Linux Servers within large scale environments for a 6 month contract that may possibly go permanent after. The role is located close to the Perth CBD.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide advanced administration, support and troubleshooting
• Install, configure and upgrade infrastructure
• Consult with the client/ project team to provide technical expertise
• Monitor system performance and reliability
• Support the team through technical deployments and system migrations

Key experience:

• Proven enterprise scale experience with administering Redhat Enterprise Linux servers is required
• Knowledge of AWS/ Windows/ VMWare environments would be advantageous
• Experience working with Network infrastructure environments (switching, routing)
• Knowledge of ITIL framework / Service Management tools
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement ability
• Relevant certifications / education would be highly regarded

Desirable experience:

• Experience with AWS, Nutanix , VMWare, Informix, Pronto AND/ OR Oracle would be advantageous (but not mandatory)
