Job summary

Sociable Tech Pty Ltd in Marrickville, NSW, seeks a Linesperson to install, maintain and repair overhead transmission line infrastructure up to 500kV. You will join a transmission line crew working on conductor stringing, tower works and related projects.

The role requires 3–5 years' overhead/underground line experience, safe work practices, ability to read technical drawings, and comfort working at heights with lifting equipment.

Qualifications

Job Description

My Australia Direct Linespersons Location: Marrickville, NSW Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role The Linesperson is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead transmission line infrastructure and associated electrical assets.

Working as part of a transmission line crew, the role supports conductor stringing, tower works, and transmission network projects on assets operating at voltages up to 500kV. Multiple positions are available. Key Duties and Responsibilities Interpret technical drawings, network line diagrams, maps, and specifications.

Install, maintain, and repair overhead conductors, underground cables, and associated hardware. Perform conductor stringing, tower erection, and transmission line maintenance activities. Install and repair transmission towers, poles, insulators, cables, and related equipment.

Operate plant, lifting equipment, and elevated work platforms (EWPs). Work safely at heights on transmission towers and poles. Conduct inspections and identify defects and maintenance requirements.

Comply with workplace health and safety procedures and industry standards. Skills and Experience Relevant tertiary qualifications OR equivalent work experience At least 3–5 years' experience in overhead and underground line installation, maintenance, and repair.

Strong knowledge of transmission network infrastructure and safe work practices. Ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation. Experience working at heights and with plant and lifting equipment Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
