Job summary

UGL CPB Humelink West is hiring an Assistant Overhead Transmission Linesworker to join our Stringing crews for a large-scale infrastructure project in Tarcutta, NSW. This full-time permanent role includes FIFO/DIDO, with flights, accommodation and meals provided in new camps.

Key duties include climbing structures, interpreting drawings and maps, risk assessments, and installing conductors and associated electrical equipment.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience on Overhead Transmission Line projects including Stringing and Conductor processes.
• Construction Whitecard and High Risk Licences including Rigging, Dogging, EWP (>11m) and Working at Heights.
• HRWL and related certifications are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Climb transmission structures and contribute to upgrade/new construction.
• Interpret drawings, maps and network diagrams and liaise with inspectors and customers.
• Complete risk assessments and install/maintain transmission components and equipment.
• Respond to electrical outages and emergencies and adhere to safety policies.

Job description

The Role:

We are looking for Assistant Overhead Transmission Linesworkers to join our Stringing crews. You will play a key role in our transmission tower construction teams, working within an established crew on a large-scale infrastructure project.

This will be a full-time permanent opportunity on a FIFO/DIDO basis, based in Tarcutta, NSW. All flights, accommodations and meals provided in brand new camps.

• Climbing of transmission structures
• Upgrade and construction of new and existing assets
• Study and interpret technical drawings, network line diagrams and maps
• Liaise with Network Operator Inspectors and customers
• Complete comprehensive risk assessments
• Installing and maintaining conductors, aerial equipment, and underground cables
• Installing and maintaining all associated electrical supply equipment
• Attending to electrical breakdowns and emergencies.
• Adhering to site specific health and safety policies and procedures.

About you /Key Requirements:

• Demonstrated 5 years' experience working onOverhead TransmissionLine projects involved in Stringing and Conductor process – essential
• Construction Whitecard
• High Risk Work Licenses: Rigging, Dogging, EWP (over 11m) and Working at Heights
• Any additional HRWL applicable to the role
• UETDRTO016 – Installing Transmission Structure Hardware - desirable
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical
