Job summary

Nestlé Gympie Factory in Queensland is seeking a Mechanical Technician/Mechanical Fitter to join the Maintenance Team, focusing on reliability and safe operation across manufacturing, filling & packaging, and utilities.

You will perform planned, preventive, and corrective work, diagnose faults, and contribute to continuous improvement, with SAP work orders and strong teamwork across Operations and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic systems, valves, and rotating equipment.
• Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Computer literacy and willingness to utilise maintenance management systems (SAP).

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, Contractors, and fellow Maintenance Team members.
• Contribute to equipment reliability improvements and asset care programs.

The Opportunity

Nestlé Gympie is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the reliability and performance of one of Australia's leading coffee manufacturing facilities.

Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation across our manufacturing, filling & packaging and utilities areas.

Key Responsibilities
