Job summary

CGC Recruitment is seeking a Lighting Engineer to join the Perth building services team of a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. The role blends technical design with a creative lighting approach and involves collaborating with architects and engineering professionals to deliver effective solutions.

You will contribute from concept through to detailed documentation, develop lighting designs and calculations, prepare technical reports, coordinate with other disciplines, and

Qualifications

• Experience in lighting design within a building services consultancy or similar.
• A relevant qualification in engineering, lighting design or a related discipline.
• Experience using lighting calculation and modelling software (AGi32, DIALux or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and energy efficiency requirements.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
• Attention to detail and an interest in how lighting shapes the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop lighting designs, layouts and specifications.
• Undertaking lighting calculations and modelling.
• Prepare technical reports and design documentation.
• Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines.
• Contribute to client discussions and project meetings.
• Design in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and project requirements.
