Job summary

JAX Tyres & Auto Sutherland is seeking an experienced Motor Mechanic to join a safety-first workshop. You will analyse and repair light vehicle makes and models, working closely with tyre technicians, wheel aligners and sales staff to deliver outstanding service to customers.

Your day-to-day tasks include inspecting faults, servicing wheels/brakes/suspension, offering expert maintenance advice, operating hoists, and performing occasional wheel alignments to ensure roadworthy conditions.

Qualifications

• Certificate III Light Vehicle (equivalent or higher).
• Valid and current Australian Driver's Licence.
• Current First Aid Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly inspecting and identifying vehicle faults.
• Light vehicle servicing, with a focus on wheels, brakes and suspension.
• Providing expert advice and reporting potentially dangerous risks to customers.
• Safely operating hoists and conducting road tests.
• Occasionally performing wheel alignments and post-alignment checks.
