Job summary

Pacific Toyota in Cairns is seeking Automotive Technicians to join our Service Department. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing Toyota vehicles, providing servicing, and completing recalls, with emphasis on wheel alignments.

Applicants should hold AQF Certificate III or IV (Diploma preferred) and have at least one year of local work experience, plus a valid C-class licence. Family‑focused workplace with opportunities to train apprentices.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III or IV in a relevant field; Diploma qualification is highly regarded.
• Minimum one year of relevant full-time work experience (Australia) or
• Two years (35 hours per week) of relevant work experience.
• Driver’s C class licence is mandatory.
• Wheel alignment experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults in Toyota vehicles.
• Service vehicles regularly.
• Complete outstanding recalls.
• Train apprentices.
• Perform accurate wheel alignments using alignment equipment.
• Diagnose and correct alignment issues to ensure vehicle performance.
• Conduct thorough inspections of suspension and steering systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in accordance with safety standards.

ABOUT US

Servco Australia - Cairns has multiple brands within Cairns including Pacific Toyota, Pacific Hino and Lexus of Cairns. The business has grown rapidly since its establishment and currently employs over 170 people.

Our Parts Department not only serves our local region but is also involved in the exports of Toyota parts to regions within PNG and more.

Over 100 vehicles are serviced within our service department each day.

To be eligible for the role you must have

• Minimum of at least AQF Certificate III or Certificate IV in relevant field but Diploma qualification highly regarded
• Minimum of at least one (1) year of relevant full-time work experience, where the relevant AQF qualification was undertaken in Australia OR
• Minimum of at least two (2) years (35 hours per week) of relevant work experience.
• Driver’s ‘C’ class licence is mandatory
