Job summary

Perenti Global Limited, on behalf of Barminco, is seeking an LV Fitter on a 14/14 day/night roster to support underground mining across Western Australia. You will maintain, service, and repair underground light vehicles to meet safety and site standards.

Ideal candidates will have LV fitter experience, a trade qualification as a light vehicle mechanic, and the ability to pass site access requirements. The role offers competitive pay, FIFO/DIDO options, and opportunities for career progression

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a light vehicle mechanic (or equivalent).
• Experience as LV fitter in mining or similar environment.
• Ability to meet site access requirements (Medical, DAS, NPC, and valid Manual Driver's Licence).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on underground light vehicles and ancillary equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and complete repairs.
• Conduct inspections, pre-starts, and compliance checks to ensure vehicles are safe for operation.
• Perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report defects or safety issues.
• Follow all safety, quality, and environmental procedures while working underground.

Join the Barminco team as a LV Fitter on a 14/14 day/night roster and support our underground mining operations across Australia, with current opportunities available at sites throughout Western Australia. In this role you’ll play a key part in maintaining, servicing, and repairing our vast fleet of underground light vehicles to ensure they operate safely, reliably, and in compliance with our site standards.

What will your day to day look like?

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on underground light vehicles and ancillary equipment.

Our ideal candidate background includes

• Previous experience working as a LV Fitter.
• Trade qualification as a light vehicle mechanic (or equivalent).
• Ability to meet all site access requirements (including, but not limited to, Medical, DAS, NPC & valid Manual Driver's Licence).
