Job summary

Arcare Sunbury is seeking a dedicated Lifestyle Coordinator to design and implement programs that enrich residents' wellbeing, social engagement, and daily activity. This role focuses on creating activities that promote mental stimulation and physical activity while ensuring inclusivity and safety.

You will plan and assess lifestyle activities, coordinate volunteers, and collaborate with the clinical team to deliver meaningful experiences for residents.

Qualifications

• Cert IV Leisure & Health required.
• Australian Driver’s license required.
• Experience in a Lifestyle/Activities Coordinator role is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Activity Planning: design diverse lifestyle programs for residents.
• Resident Assessment: develop lifestyle assessments for needs-based programming.
• Program Implementation: oversee safe, organized activities and events.
• Volunteer Coordination: recruit and train volunteers for activities.

About the Role

As the Lifestyle Coordinator, your key responsibilities revolve around creating and implementing lifestyle programs that enhance the quality of life and well-being of our residents. This is essential in promoting social engagement, mental stimulation, and physical activity for the residents.

• Activity Planning: Develop and design a diverse range of lifestyle programs tailored to the residents' interests, abilities, and preferences
• Resident Assessment: Create and review Lifestyle Assessments to ensure needs-based programming is occurring
• Program Implementation: Oversee the execution of planned activities and events. Ensure that the activities are well-organized, safe, and inclusive, allowing all residents to participate to the maximum of their abilities
• Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers who can assist with activities and events

You will be an effective communicator, working collaboratively with clinical team members to ensure residents are encouraged to actively participate in leisure activities of interest to them.

What we’re looking for

• Cert IV Leisure & Health (essential)
• Australian Driver’s license
• Adaptability, creativity and passion for what you do!
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to foster a collaborative team culture
• Demonstrated experience in a comparable Lifestyle or Activities Coordinator role (essential)
