Job summary

Mercy Community is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to inspire joy, creativity and meaningful experiences for residents at Bethany Residential Aged Care in Rockhampton. This permanent full-time role focuses on designing and delivering personalised activities that enhance wellbeing and connection each day.

You’ll tailor programs to individual interests, lead engaging group sessions and support the monthly calendar in collaboration with the Facility Manager, while recording outcomes to measure impact

Qualifications

• Qualifications include aged care certification and lifestyle program experience.
• Current First Aid certificate is required.
• Queensland Provisional Green Driver Licence is required.
• Experience in a similar aged care role is highly regarded.
• Passion for making every day meaningful for others.

Responsibilities

• Get to know each resident and tailor activities to their unique skills, interests, and goals.

Mercy Community is looking for a Lifestyle Assistant to inspire joy, creativity, and meaningful experiences in the daily lives of our residents. This is a permanent full-timerole based at our Bethany Residential Aged Care Facility in Rockhampton.

What you’ll be doing:

• Getting to know each resident and tailoring activities to their unique skills, interests, and goals
• Facilitating engaging group programs as well as personalised one-on-one activities
• Contributing to the design of monthly lifestyle calendars in partnership with the Facility Manager
• Recording and reviewing outcomes to continually improve the program’s impact

What you’ll bring:

• Certificate III in Aged Care (with Lifestyle Program experience) OR Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle
• A current First Aid certificate
• Experience in a similar role – aged care experience highly regarded
• A Queensland Provisional Green or higher Driver Licence
• Most importantly – a passion for making every day meaningful for others
