Job summary

Catholic Healthcare Limited in Lane Cove NSW is seeking a compassionate Part-time Lifestyle and Wellbeing Assistant to support residents with social and wellbeing activities. You will help design and deliver group and individual programs, assist with meals, mobility, personal care, and transport for activities as required.

You’ll work Tue, Wed, Sat (19.5 hours weekly) in a not-for-profit setting that recognises service and offers benefits such as not-for-profit tax concessions, paid leave, and

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Individual Support or similar.
• Ability to establish professional relationships with residents and families.
• Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
• Kind heart and passion for high-quality elderly care.

Responsibilities

• Encourage resident choice and participation in activities.
• Assist in designing, delivering and monitoring group and individual lifestyle services and activities.
• Implement innovative events and lifestyle activities for residents and where possible involving the wider community, volunteers and residents' family and friends.
• Provide direct resident care during activities such as bus trips, including assisting with personal hygiene and toileting.
• Provide direct resident care in relation to meals service, mobility and social support.
• Support peers and maintain a cooperative team spirit.
• Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues and residents following all policies and procedures.

• Location - Lane Cove
• Permanent Part-time (Tue, Wed, Sat 19.5 hours per week)
• Pay rate – $38 per hour + superannuation

About the Role:
