Job summary

Eloma Care is seeking energetic support workers for our day program in New South Wales. The role involves helping participants with daily living, encouraging independence, and engaging in community activities and outings.

You will collaborate with families and care teams to understand goals and ensure safety and wellbeing. We value compassionate, reliable team players who uphold rights and follow best-practice guidelines.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated empathy and reliability in supporting days-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

• Help participants with daily living activities and routines.
• Encourage independence and personal choice.
• Join participants in community activities and outings.
• Collaborate with families and supports to understand goals.
• Maintain accurate records and review support plans.
• Support participants to express views and rights in a respectful manner.
• Identify and report risks to supervisors.
• Follow best-practice guidelines with approved, trained approaches.

We are looking for energetic, support workers to join our day program at Narellan, NSW!

Available Monday- Friday

What you'll be doing

• Support daily living with purpose: Help participants build confidence and independence in their everyday routines
• Encourage independence: Empower our clients to make choices and build confidence in their own abilities
• Stay connected: Join participants in community activities, social programs, and outings like shopping or events
• Collaborate with care: Work closely with participants, their families, and key supports to understand their goals and preferences
• Keeping things on track: Maintain clear and accurate records, review support plans, and follow best-practice guidelines
• Champion rights and voice: Help participants express their views, raise concerns, and feel heard and respected
• Look out for safety: Identify and report any risks or concerns to your supervisor promptly
• Uphold best practice: Only use approved, trained restrictive practices when required and always with care and compliance.

What we need from you?

• Current NDIS Worker Screening and WWCC
• First Aid Certificate
• Driver's License
• Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
• New Worker NDIS Induction Module
• Completion of New Worker NDIS Induction Module is required before commencing employment
• Clear Police Check
• Smartphone
• A formal certificate may not be required if the individual has relevant experience and skills – recommended qualifications Certificate III in Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar.
