Job summary

Eloma Care in Punchbowl, NSW, Australia is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to support participants in daily living, helping them build confidence and independence in everyday activities. You will empower clients to make choices, join them in community activities and outings, and work with families to understand goals while maintaining clear records.

Required qualifications include NDIS screening, WWCC, first aid, driver’s licence, and a clear police check; experience with sensitive support

• First Aid Certificate required.

Job description

As a Lifestyle Assistant, you will support participants in their daily living, helping them build confidence and independence in their everyday routines. You will empower clients to make choices, join them in community activities and outings, work closely with participants and their families to understand their goals, maintain clear records, help participants express their views, and identify and report any risks or concerns to your supervisor.

Key responsibilities

Support daily living with purpose by helping participants build confidence and independence in their everyday routines

Empower clients to make choices and build confidence in their own abilities

Join participants in community activities, social programs, and outings like shopping or events

Work closely with participants, their families, and key supports to understand their goals and preferences

Maintain clear and accurate records and review support plans

Help participants express their views, raise concerns, and feel heard and respected

Identify and report any risks or concerns to your supervisor promptly

Use approved, trained restrictive practices when required and always with care and compliance

About you

Current NDIS Worker Screening and WWCC

First Aid Certificate

Driver's License

Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle

New Worker NDIS Induction Module completion required before commencing employment

Clear Police Check

Smartphone

Certificate III in Individual Support, Mental Health, Aged Care, Community Services, Disability Work or similar (recommended)
