Job summary

Belgravia Leisure is seeking enthusiastic lifeguards for the Woodford Swimming Pool in Woodford. This casual summer role focuses on daily pool operations and creating a safe, enjoyable space for all patrons.

Ideal candidates are passionate about water safety, energetic, and customer-focused, with flexibility to work mornings, evenings and weekends. Training and development opportunities are available to support community service and growth.

Qualifications

• Qualified lifeguards with a passion for water safety.
• Energetic, outgoing and customer-focused.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse range of ages and backgrounds.
• Current First Aid (Level 2) and CPR certificates.
• Blue card holder and current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Pool Plant operations qualification not essential but well regarded.
• Willing to train for future growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pool operations within the facility.
• Ensure safety of pool areas and surrounding spaces for all patrons.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse range of visitors.

The Centre

Belgravia Leisure in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council, are proud to be the management company of the Woodford Swimming Pool in Woodford.

Our facility features a solar heated 6lane 25m swimming pool, and two shallow toddler pools with ample lawn area surrounding the area. We also offer swimming and water safety lessons, Junior Squads, birthday parties and Aqua Aerobics classes.

The Role

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguards to join the team on a casual basis to join the team for the summer season. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

You will have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings and weekends. Hours may increase during peak seasons, public holidays and school holidays.

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• Blue card
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
• Current Pool Operations Certificateis not essential but highly regarded

Pool Plant operators' qualification not necessary but well regarded. We are willing to train in roles for future growth.
