Job summary

Belgravia Leisure, in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council, proudly manages Woodford Swimming Pool. We are seeking enthusiastic lifeguards to join the team on a casual basis for the summer season, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will be energetic, with strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence, able to work mornings, evenings and weekends, and keen to help keep the community safe around the water.

Qualifications

• First Aid Level 2 and CPR certificates required.
• Blue Card and Working with Children/Police checks required.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate preferred, training offered.
• Relevant lifeguard experience welcomed but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily pool operations are safe and welcoming.
• Monitor water safety and enforce facility rules.
• Provide excellent customer service to patrons.
• Communicate effectively with diverse customers and staff.

The Centre

Belgravia Leisure in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council, are proud to be the management company of the Woodford Swimming Pool in Woodford.

Our facility features a solar heated 6lane 25m swimming pool, and two shallow toddler pools with ample lawn area surrounding the area. We also offer swimming and water safety lessons, Junior Squads, birthday parties and Aqua Aerobics classes.

The Role

We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguards to join the team on a casual basis to join the team for the summer season. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the Day to Day Pool Operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

You will have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings and weekends. Hours may increase during peak seasons, public holidays and school holidays.

Skills & Attributes

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• Blue card
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
• Current Pool Operations Certificateis not essential but highly regarded

Pool Plant operators' qualification not necessary but well regarded. We are willing to train in roles for future growth.
