Job summary

Belgravia Leisure’s Gladstone Aquatic Centre invites a qualified lifeguard to join on a casual basis. Your role covers day-to-day pool operations, ensuring a safe and enjoyable space for all patrons.

We seek someone who values water safety, communicates well with diverse groups, and holds current Lifeguard, First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children checks. Morning, evening, and weekend availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication required.
• OHS and public safety knowledge applied in facility.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Independently reliable and also a strong team member.
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
• Current First Aid (Level 2).
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Working with Children Check (Employee Status).
• National Police Check required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day pool operations and safety.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patrons.
• Respond to emergencies and enforce pool rules.

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, reliable and friendly lifeguard to join the team on a casual basis. Our lifeguards will be responsible for the day to day pool operations within our facility and ensure that all areas both in and surrounding our pools is a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons.

You will have a passion for safetyaround the water. You should be energetic, dynamic, outgoing and fun. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensureour patrons safely enjoy their visit every time.

Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded
• Current Pool Operations Certificateis not essential but highly regarded
• Current First Aid (Level 2)
