Job summary

WaterNSW is seeking an experienced Licensing Officer (Full-Time, max-term until April 2028) to join the Licensing Operations team. You will deliver licensing services, guide customers through water licensing requirements, and manage a workload of enquiries, applications, and transactions with accuracy and a strong focus on customer experience.

Location options include Albury or Narrabri, with potential base in Dubbo, Hunter Hub or Tamworth.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering outstanding customer service in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to build rapport and resolve customer concerns.
• Foundational knowledge of regulatory frameworks and how to apply them.

Responsibilities

• Process and validate applications in line with service standards.
• Manage workflow and allocate applications to A&A teams.
• Help customers secure water access licences and approvals.
• Prepare reports on processing and customer service metrics.
• Collaborate with A&A to improve performance and implement changes.
• Resolve customer queries and escalate appropriately.
