Job summary

Talent is seeking an experienced Licensing Officer to join a Victorian Government regulatory organisation for a 3-month contract. You will manage enquiries, assess licensing matters, and provide guidance on licensing, registration and regulatory requirements.

The role requires interpreting legislation and policies and collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve matters efficiently. The successful candidate will have experience in a regulatory setting, strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• Experience in a Victorian Government or regulatory setting.
• Experience with licensing, registration, compliance or related processes.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, policy and guidelines.
• Confident in managing inquiries and deciding referrals.
• Detail-focused with strong record-keeping.
• High computer literacy and privacy awareness.
• Team-oriented, collaborative and resilient.
• Tertiary qualification in law is highly regarded.

• Act as a key point of contact for telephone, written, online and in-person enquiries.
• Assess enquiries and resolve first-tier matters where appropriate.

• Identify matters requiring further consideration and refer them to the appropriate internal or external area.

About the role

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Licensing Officer to join a Victorian Government regulatory organisation. Working within a busy licensing function, you will be responsible for managing enquiries, assessing licensing and registration matters, providing accurate guidance to stakeholders and ensuring matters are resolved or referred appropriately.

3 months contract role.

• Confidence managing enquiries and determining the appropriate course of action or referral pathway.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• High computer literacy and an understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements.
• A collaborative and resilient approach when working within a busy team environment.
• A tertiary qualification in law will be highly regarded
