Job summary

CGC Recruitment in Brisbane, QLD is seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker to join our international freight forwarding team. You will manage customs clearance requirements across a varied portfolio of import customers, handling declarations, classifications and compliance advice.

Working autonomously within a supportive operations group, you will liaise with authorities, stay current with legislation, and build strong relationships with customers while delivering a high level of service

Qualifications

• Experienced Australian Licensed Customs Broker with strong import clearance knowledge.
• Experience across multiple commodity types and complex entries.
• Ability to communicate technical customs requirements clearly to customers.
• Autonomous worker who also thrives in a collaborative forwarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge import declarations.
• Manage customs clearances across a wide range of commodities.
• Provide customs and compliance advice to customers.
• Liaise with Australian Border Force and other authorities.
• Review documentation for compliance issues.
• Resolve queries and clearance-related problems.
• Collaborate with freight forwarding, operations and customer service teams.
• Build strong customer relationships with high service standards.
• Stay up to date with changes to customs legislation.
