Job summary

Sentinel Security & Technology Group in Canberra is seeking an experienced Electronic Security Technician to join our boutique team. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and servicing CCTV, alarm and access control systems, with fault-finding and system testing delivering quality outcomes.

You will read wiring diagrams, install structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/6A) and provide client demonstrations, working in a locally owned business known for its 5-star service and strong client

Qualifications

• Experienced Electronic Security Technician with field experience.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and plans.
• Customer-focused with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and service CCTV, alarm, and access-control systems.
• Perform fault-finding, repairs and system testing.
• Record work in the digital job management system.
• Install and certify structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6/6A) and intercoms.
• Read wiring diagrams and building plans.
• Provide system demonstrations and client support.

• Install, maintain, and service electronic security systems, including CCTV surveillance systems, Alarm systems, and Access control systems
• Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and system testing
• Reporting of work carried out in our digital Job management system
• Install and certify structured cabling (Cat 5e, Cat 6/6A), intercoms, and related equipment
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, building plans, and technical documents
• Deliver system demonstrations and support to clients
