Job summary

Bell Textron Australia is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join the Redcliffe QLD team. The role involves maintaining helicopters to the highest standards and adhering to CASA regulations.

You will be part of a dynamic aviation group with emphasis on safety, training, and customer service. Ideal candidates hold a CASA B2 license, have at least 2 years in aircraft maintenance, and are familiar with Bell, Airbus, and Leonardo rotorcraft.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and modifications.
• Must hold a current CASA B2 licence.
• Experience on light/medium Bell, Airbus and Leonardo model helicopters is highly desirable.
• Right to live and work in Australia without restriction.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a busy environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on assigned aircraft to meet high standards and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure maintenance complies with ICA and current airworthiness instructions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Work with Quality & Safety team to ensure aviation quality and safety.
• Assign and supervise tasks for AMEs and monitor progress and paperwork.

Licenced B2 Avionics - Aircraft Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our Redcliffe QLD team as a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft is carried out to the highest possible standard in compliance with company policies and procedures and National Aviation Authority (NAA) Regulations.

Ensure aircraft are maintained in accordance with the relevant and current Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA).

Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers to enhance their overall experience.

Ensuring all tasks are carried out in a timely and efficient manner.

Working with the Quality & Safety Team to ensure aviation quality, safety, and compliance with a focus on continuous improvement.

Assigning and supervising tasks for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME) allocated to the job and monitoring their progress and paperwork.

Focus on safe execution of maintenance activities, while maximizing aircraft availability and ensuring a safe workspace for all employees and visitors to maintenance and engineering facilities.

A minimum of 2 years - experience in aircraft maintenance and modifications.

Must be Experienced and hold qualifications on light and medium Bell, Airbus and Leonardo model Helicopters.

Must hold current CASA B2 license.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with workshop managers and other staff in a busy environment with strict deadlines.

An understanding of CASA regulations and compliance requirements.

A keep eye for detail and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

The ability to work independently.

Good computer literacy and experience working with aircraft maintenance programs.

You must have the right to live and work in Australia without restriction and you must be able to obtain and maintain aviation and other government security clearances that may be required.

The following Type Ratings are highly desirable: Bell 212/412, 429, 505, Leonardo AW139, EC135

Experience in installations and modifications is highly desirable.

Competency in the use of computer-aided design programs will be well regarded.
