Job summary

A leading aerospace company in Richmond is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join their team. In this role, you will perform crucial maintenance on avionic systems across various aircraft. Candidates should have a Certificate IV in Aeroskills and be Australian citizens eligible for Defence Clearance. Qualifications

  • Hold an Aircraft Maintenance Trade, Cert IV Aeroskills – Avionics (Mandatory).
  • Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a Defence Clearance (Mandatory).
  • Experience or strong interest in working with Defence Military Aircraft.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis on avionic systems and components.
  • Ensure all work is performed using authorised technical data.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities within required timeframes.
  • Action engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments as directed.
  • Report and escalate any defects, non-conformances, or quality issues to the Team Leader in line with procedures.
  • Perform maintenance tasks within delegated authority while upholding safety, quality and compliance.

Opportunities

We have multiple vacancies for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) within our Aerospace organisation. As an Avionics Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), you will report to the Team Leader and carry out scheduled servicing and unscheduled maintenance activities across various aircraft platforms at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW. Relocation support is available for candidates outside the Williamtown, Hunter, and Maitland region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance, inspections, and fault diagnosis on avionic systems and components across fixed‑wing and rotary‑wing aircraft.
  • Ensure all work is performed using authorised technical data, compliant with regulatory and organisational standards.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, meeting certification and reporting requirements within required timeframes.
  • Action engineering advice, defect reporting, maintenance deficiencies, and publication amendments as directed.
  • Report and escalade any defects, non‑conformances, or quality issues to the Team Leader in line with procedures.
  • Perform maintenance tasks within your delegated authority while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.
About You
