Job summary

Aviation Australia is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics) to become an Instructor - Delivery and Assessment in Townsville on a full-time basis. You will lead theory and practical instruction, focusing on avionic digital systems and rotary-wing maintenance for students and stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have hands-on rotary-wing experience and a CASA/B2 licence; training or Assessment qualifications are welcome to pursue.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated practical rotary-wing aircraft maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of avionic digital systems and components.
• A current CASA or DASR B2 Licence is preferred; suitably qualified unlicensed avionics engineers are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to learn, grow and obtain a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Ability to work autonomously and within a small, close-knit team.
• Well-developed problem-solving skills and strong organisation skills.
• Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for aviation.

Job description

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Avionics)

We're looking for multiple experienced B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with a strong understanding of avionic digital systems and practical rotary-wing maintenance experience to step into the role of Instructor - Delivery and Assessment in Townsville on a full-time basis.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to train and inspire the next generation of aircraft maintenance engineers, including those working on the AH-64E Apache helicopters. You’ll independently lead theory and practical instruction within your trade stream while providing exceptional support to students and stakeholders.

While previous training or mentoring experience will be highly regarded, it’s not essential – just bring your technical knowledge, growth mindset, and passion for aviation.
