Job summary

Bell Textron Australia is seeking a Component Repair & Overhaul Maintenance Technician to join our team in Clontarf, QLD. You will perform tear-downs, inspections, repairs and reassembly of components for various helicopter platforms, ensuring adherence to OEM documentation and airworthiness standards.

The Opportunity

We are seeking highly motivated Component Repair & Overhaul Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team based in Clontarf, QLD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform component tear-down, inspection, repair, modification, testing and reassembly
  • Conduct component maintenance, including assembly, disassembly, cleaning, and testing
  • Carry out component repair and overhaul activities both on and off-wing
  • Investigate defects identified during inspection and testing, and implement corrective actions
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure efficient processing of sub-components and resolution of technical issues
  • Interpret and apply OEM documentation and airworthiness requirements
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of regulatory documentation (ADs, ASBs, TBs, STCs, and engineering orders)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including workshop layout optimisation and process enhancements
  • Support quotations, proposals, and compliance programs
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and documentation to a high standard
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and company policies
About You
  • Proven experience in component repair and overhaul maintenance
  • Working knowledge of CASA regulations and industry standards
  • Experience within a CAR 30 and/or Part 145 environment (highly regarded)
  • Strong ability to interpret technical manuals and engineering data
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving capability and initiative
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for aviation and delivering quality outcomes
  • Willingness to continue learning and developing within the role
