Job summary

Girton Grammar School seeks a vibrant, organised Library Technician for the Junior School Library. This term-time role includes 2 weeks callback and supports students and staff in accessing resources, cataloguing, and maintaining library operations.

You’ll work closely with the Library Teacher to foster a love of reading and learning in primary students. The successful candidate will have Library Technician qualifications or relevant experience, strong communication, and organisational skills,

Job description

Girton Grammar School is seeking a vibrant, organised and enthusiastic Library Technician to join our Junior School Library team, term time only with 2 weeks callback.

This is an exciting opportunity for a person who enjoys working with primary-aged children and is passionate about fostering a love of reading, learning and discovery. Working closely with the Library Teacher, the successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Library, assisting students and staff to access resources, and contributing to a welcoming and engaging learning environment.

About the Role

The Junior School Library Technician is responsible for supporting the effective operation of the Library through a combination of customer service, resource management and administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include:
