Job summary

Community, Culture and Customer Experience in Bondi Junction, NSW seeks a Team Leader for Children and Young People to guide the Library Children's and Young People team. This permanent, full-time role offers a supportive culture and opportunities for professional development.

You will lead programs for children and families, manage a diverse team, and drive innovative services while building community partnerships and ensuring excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Library and Information Studies or other relevant area of study/experience.
• 1-2 years' experience in a children’s library setting, budget management, project management and staff supervision, with proven capacity to lead and develop staff within a library environment.
• Demonstrated experience in children’s programming/education.
• Strong technical skills and a high level of digital literacy.
• Proven ability to embrace change and engage, lead and inspire others to achieve outcomes for the benefit of the organisation and community.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with strong conflict resolution skills and the ability to deal with difficult customers.
• Proven experience in delivering quality customer service and a positive, professional and cooperative approach to working with others.
• Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with a flexible approach to work and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
• Current Working with Children Check.

• Lead and support a dynamic team delivering programs and services for children and young people
