Job summary

Lane Cove Council in Lane Cove Library is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to support front-line customer service and assist with processing and maintaining library resources.

This on-site role requires teamwork, good communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Applicants should have a Higher School Certificate and a Working with Children Check, with previous library experience preferred.

Qualifications

• A Higher School Certificate or equivalent qualifications and experience.
• Proven commitment to high-quality customer service.
• Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Current 'Paid Worker – Working with Children Check' (NSW).
• Previous public library experience.
• Demonstrated book and audiovisual processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the provision of quality customer service in the Lane Cove Libraries.
• Assist with the processing and maintenance of resources for Library collections.
• Work with the Library Services team to support daily operations.
• Refer matters to senior staff on duty as appropriate.
