Job summary

TAFE NSW is seeking a Library Network Lead to provide strategic and operational leadership across a geographically dispersed library network. You will guide high-performing teams to deliver high-quality library and information services, working with key stakeholders to drive change and service excellence.

You will travel across network locations to support delivery, shape the future direction of library services, and ensure a customer-focused approach for students and staff.

$159,166 - $173,942 salary package - includes base salary ($140,232 - $153,250), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

About the role

As the Librarian Network Lead, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a complex library network, leading geographically dispersed teams to deliver high-quality library and information services. You will foster a high-performing culture that values service excellence, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Working closely with key stakeholders, you will drive strategic initiatives, lead change, and enhance team capability to meet the evolving needs of students and staff. You will play a critical role in ensuring a consistent, customer-focused approach to service delivery while shaping the future direction of library services across the network.

Willingness and ability to travel across network library locations is a requirement of this role.

About you

You are an experienced library professional with a proven ability to lead people, influence outcomes, and deliver results in a complex and dynamic environment.

With a strong understanding of contemporary library and information services, you keep abreast of emerging library trends, digital technologies, and the opportunities presented by AI and other evolving innovations. You can translate these developments into practical service improvements that enhance the customer experience and support the diverse needs of students and educators across face-to-face and online learning environments.

To be successful, you will be eligible for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) and hold an ALIA accredited library and information science qualification.
