Job summary

City of Adelaide’s Creative City team is seeking a Team Leader, Libraries, to guide a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team delivering an innovative and community-focused library service.

You will oversee daily operations of three library locations, provide strategic guidance on trends, manage resources around $4+ million, and drive improvements to enhance accessibility and visitor satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a team leader in a public library environment.
• Knowledge of collection development principles and standards for public libraries.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills for reports and proposals.
• Proven experience delivering innovative library services and programs.
• Knowledge of ICT and information management systems in community services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of three library locations.
• Provide strategic advice on library trends and an approximately $4+ million annual budget.
• Lead a multi-disciplinary team fostering collaboration and customer service.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase visitation and accessibility.
• Ensure compliance with library policies, standards, and best practices.
