Job summary

RAC Finance is seeking a Lending Lead to join our Personal Finance team in Perth. This hands-on role balances credit assessment, policy governance, loan processing and member outcomes to deliver high standards of service.

You’ll act as 2IC to the Personal Finance Manager, lead the team as needed, coach staff, and drive improvements in lending processes while ensuring compliance with NCCP, AML/CTF and KYC obligations.

Qualifications

• Proven personal loan assessment experience in banking or finance.
• Experience writing, maintaining or improving lending policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of responsible lending and NCCP obligations.
• Ability to lead, coach and influence without direct reports.
• Experience handling escalations and complaints confidently.
• Excellent attention to detail and sound decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert for document verification and lending scenarios.
• Own and continuously improve lending policies and procedures.
• Assist in assessing and approving personal loan applications.
• Ensure adherence to NCCP, AML/CTF and KYC obligations.
• Support governance reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Operate as 2IC to Personal Finance Manager; lead when required.
• Coach and uplift team capability through 1:1s and reviews.
