Job summary

CraigCare Group in Albany WA is seeking a dedicated Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to design and deliver engaging activities for residents. You will create meaningful experiences that reflect each person’s identity, supporting well-being through music, conversation, and personalized activities.

Join a team focused on quality of life, flexibility with rosters, and a supportive culture. Experience in dementia care and a Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle is required.
• Experience in aged care, especially with dementia, is preferred.
• Ability to design and deliver engaging, person-centred activities with a focus on quality improvement.
• Calm, consistent and confident in complex care environments.
• Respect for residents’ choices and needs, including emotional regulation.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills; excellent communication with residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Create meaningful lifestyle experiences for residents.
• Support residents through tailored activities that reflect who they are.
• Collaborate with the team to uphold Aged Care Standards and deliver quality care.

You’ll be supporting residents through meaningful, tailored lifestyle experiences that reflect who they are.

What You’ll Bring:

• Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle (Certificate III in Individual Support added bonus)
• Previous aged care experience supporting individuals living with dementia or have a passion work in this area
• Creativity and a passion for designing and delivering engaging, person-centred activities with a Commitment to continuous quality improvement
• Demonstrated ability to be calm, consistent and confident in complex care environments
• Comprehensive understanding to ensure resident choices become part of the activities
• Demonstrated flexibility, empathy and patience and respect for residents living with dementia and their needs, together with emotional regulation skills
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage specifically with our MSU residents and their families
• Sound knowledge of, and commitment to upholding the Aged Care Standards
• Previous experience with LeeCare or similar software systems and sound computer skills
• Provide proof of NDIS clearance and the right to work in Australia.
