Job summary

Western Sydney University is seeking a scholar to coordinate, design and deliver animal science teaching units, while supervising undergraduate and HDR students. You will contribute to research-informed teaching and publish in high-quality outlets, with a focus on securing competitive grants.

The role involves building collaborations with academic, industry and professional stakeholders and guiding students toward successful outcomes across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Qualifications

• Doctoral qualification in animal science or a closely related discipline.
• A record of high-quality tertiary teaching supported by student, peer or supervisor feedback.
• Demonstrated research or scholarship published or disseminated through high-quality outlets.
• Experience supervising research students at Honours and higher degree levels.
• Experience contributing to successful research grant proposals and building relationships with academic, industry and professional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, design, deliver and evaluate animal science teaching units, including assessment and constructive feedback.
• Deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching and course development in animal science.
• Publish research in high-quality outlets and submit competitive grant proposals.
• Supervise undergraduate, Honours and higher degree research students.
• Establish productive relationships across the School, Faculty and University with stakeholders.
