Job summary

The University of Sydney’s Sydney School of Veterinary Science invites applications for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Veterinary Epidemiology and Biostatistics. This full-time fixed-term role is based at the Camden or Camperdown Campus and focuses on teaching within the DVM program, curriculum design, and research in epidemiology and biostatistics.

Qualifications

• PhD in a veterinary field or closely related discipline.
• Proven ability to teach epidemiology and biostatistics at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
• Experience supervising HDR students and attracting research funding.
• Publications in epidemiology, biostatistics or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in veterinary epidemiology, biostatistics, and evidence-based practice.
• Enhance the DVM curriculum to ensure day-one competencies.
• Supervise and mentor HDR students in research projects.
• Apply for competitive research grants and conduct related research.
• Publish findings in reputable journals and present at conferences.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the school and disciplines.
• Engage with the wider academic and professional community to advance the field.
