Zusammenfassung

Gloucester City Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager for the Leaving Care Service on a 1-year fixed-term contract. You will lead and support Personal Advisers, ensuring care leavers are actively involved in assessment and pathway planning to promote successful transitions into adulthood.

You will collaborate with housing, health, education and employment partners to provide coordinated support, drive service improvements, and uphold high-quality practice across the team.

Qualifikationen

• Be a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England.
• Extensive experience of working with children and young people in a statutory social care setting, specifically within Leaving Care services.
• Experience of leading and developing Leaving Care Personal Advisers and creating a positive learning culture.

Aufgaben

• Lead and supervise a team of Personal Advisers to support care-experienced young people.
• Ensure care leavers are involved in assessment, pathway planning and decision-making.
• Maintain oversight of Pathway Plans and statutory responsibilities for care leavers aged 16–25.
• Collaborate with partner agencies (housing, health, education, employment) to coordinate support.
• Drive continuous improvement, performance and best practice across the Leaving Care service.
