Job summary

St Teresa's School, Ravenshoe, part of Catholic Education Diocese of Cairns, is seeking a Leader of Learning and Teaching on a fixed-term part-time basis (12 hours per week, Tue/Wed). Commencement 16 January 2027.

Salary is commensurate with experience, ranging from graduate level to Lead Teacher per annum, with super and allowances. The role leads curriculum development, pedagogy and assessment to deliver a world-class Catholic education, while reporting to the school leadership and engaging

Qualifications

• A strong commitment to the values, vision and ethos of Catholic Education.
• Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers.
• Demonstrated ability in Learning and Teaching.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to engage with members of the school community.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and reporting in line with national and local requirements.
• Ensure research-based pedagogies are developed and systematically implemented across the school.
• Systematic delivery of the Australian Curriculum.
• Ensure the quality of student learning and the effectiveness of teacher practice through appropriate support.
• Develop school-wide assessment and reporting practices.
• Develop capacity for thorough analysis of data to inform decisions.
• Develop appropriate partnerships within and outside of the school.
• Administer available resources.
