Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst is seeking a Learning Support Teacher for James Sheahan Catholic High School in Orange, NSW. The role focuses on providing targeted support within years 7–12, collaborating with staff, parents and allied health professionals to implement inclusive, curriculum-aligned strategies and Individual Learning Plans.

The successful candidate will contribute to building a supportive, equitable learning environment and participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Willingness to support Catholic ethos in the workplace.
• Ability to implement learning support programs in a secondary school.
• Experience liaising with students, staff, parents and organisations regarding disability.
• Experience with literacy/numeracy interventions.

Responsabilités

• Create a learner-centred, supportive learning environment aligned with policy.
• Develop and implement quality curriculum programs; assess student progress.
• Use inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equity.
• Analyse assessment data to identify barriers and drive improvement.
