Job summary

St Catherine's Catholic College Singleton is seeking a temporary Learning Support Teacher (7-12) to join our team until the end of 2026. The role focuses on identifying and supporting students with disabilities, delivering interventions, and differentiating curriculum within a Catholic education framework.

You will collaborate with staff, CSO personnel, and external providers, contributing to personalised plans, staff development, and transition support while upholding privacy and disability

Qualifications

• Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church through Catholic schools.
• Experience working with students with disability (7-12).
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school staff, CSO staff, and external stakeholders to achieve educational outcomes.
• Experience in delivering professional learning for staff and parents.
• Demonstrated ability to gather and utilise assessment data to determine adjustments for individual students.
• Experience in preparing Personalised Plans and Learner Profiles for students with disability.
• Experience in supporting student enrolment and transitions.
• Knowledge of Disability legislation and the Nationally Consistent Data Collection.

Responsibilities

• Identify students with special educational needs and collaborate with parents, CSO personnel and external providers.
• Deliver intervention, teach students, and support curriculum differentiation as directed.
• Assist design, implementation, monitoring and review of adjustments documented in Personalised Plans or Learner Profiles.
• Collaborate with teachers and Learning Support staff to support inclusive learning environments.
• Contribute to staff professional development and parent education programs.
• Liaise with schools regarding transition periods.
• Prepare documentation under privacy and disability obligations and assist with NCCD submissions.
• Support development of school staff capacity in Special Education.
