Job summary

St Thomas More School in Melbourne is seeking a Learning Support Officer to work with students and teachers under Personalised Learning Plans. This 12-month fixed-term role involves planning activities, recording progress, and maintaining confidentiality regarding students' needs.

The successful candidate will have Education Support training (preferred), strong communication and organisational skills, and a collaborative, proactive approach to support learning across classrooms.

Qualifications

• Education Support training is preferred.
• Ability to work with students and teachers to implement PLPs.

Responsibilities

• Be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic.
• Display effective communication and organisational skills with the ability to be proactive and resourceful.
• Work with students and teachers to achieve Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs).
• Provide support to teachers and assist students with their learning.
• Record information regarding the progress of student learning.
• Plan learning activities for students needing extra support with Classroom Teachers.
• Maintain records of observations and adjustments and confidentiality.
