Job summary

St Scholastica’s Catholic Primary School in Melbourne invites applications for a Learning Support Officer to commence January 27, 2027. The role is across three days with hours Tue 9–1, Wed 9–1 and Thu 9–3, 0.36 FTE, supporting students with diverse learning needs within a Catholic education setting.

You will work with classroom teachers to assist learning, provide behaviour support, help with Personalised Learning Plans, and contribute to a safe, inclusive environment in line with Child Safe

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• assisting students with their learning needs, either individually or in groups and general classroom support
• provide individualised behaviour support to students with specific behavioural needs
• supporting students learning academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually
• liaising regularly with teaching staff with regards to student learning need
• implement Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs)
• support a positive learning environment
• complying with the school's Child Safe Policy, Code of Conduct and procedures relating to Child Safety
• attend to the needs of students with disability, students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, students who are unable to live at home, international students, and LGBTIQ+ students
