Job summary

St Philip’s Christian College Cessnock is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help integrate and manage students with additional learning needs in the classroom.

Under the supervision of the Learning Support Teacher, you will deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy and numeracy programs for small groups, run group sessions, assist with assessments, and support classroom teachers to foster an inclusive Christian education environment.

Responsibilities

• Support student learning and engagement in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Deliver literacy and numeracy programs for small groups.
• Complete and submit assessment data to the Learning Support Teacher.
• Manage small groups and maintain attendance and lesson records.
• Develop and run Learning Support activities timetable for each term.
• Provide feedback on student progress to teachers.
