Job summary

Kinross Wolaroi School in Orange, NSW, is seeking a Learning Enhancement Aide to assist the Junior School Learning Enhancement Team. You will identify and implement classroom adjustments and strategies to meet diverse learning needs and help students with disabilities engage in all aspects of schooling life.

The role is permanent, part-time (25 hours/week, 8:00am–1:00pm). A Certificate IV in School Based Education Support and a Working with Children clearance are required; applications are by

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in School Based Education Support or equivalent
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Experience providing literacy and numeracy support
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and external providers

Responsibilities

• Work with the Junior School Learning Enhancement Team
• Implement adjustments, programs and activities for students’ learning needs
• Deliver targeted literacy and numeracy intervention programs (e.g., MiniLit, MacqLit, Maths Mastery) as trained
• Support students in classroom settings individually and in small groups
• Maintain records of student participation and progress
• Provide feedback on student progress to the Coordinator and teachers
