Job summary

Chairo Christian School is seeking Learning Support Assistants for its Traralgon campus to commence in Term 1 next year. You will support students with learning needs within a caring Christian community, liaising with teachers and preparing resources to enhance classroom learning.

The role emphasizes strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, and alignment with the school’s Statement of Faith. Experience in learning support is desirable, with background checks and a faith-compatible approach

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith.
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Qualifications and experience in learning support or related fields (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Provide a godly example to students and staff through practice and relationships.
• Liaise with subject teachers about students and curriculum requirements.
• Assist students with special needs in class, private study and exam situations.
• Maintain records related to learning support activities and programs.
• Attend camps and excursions with students as required.
• Prepare resources to support student learning.
• Provide general support to teachers in the classroom.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student academic and social progress.
