Job summary

Clyde Secondary College in Victoria is seeking a Learning Specialist Range 3 for Year 11 VCE/VM. The role focuses on modelling exemplary teaching, mentoring teachers, demonstrating lessons, and leading professional learning to elevate student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing.

You will work with leadership to develop high‑quality teaching practice, use data to inform instruction, supervise student teachers, and promote collaborative professional learning communities that strengthen school

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the relevant curriculum and literacy/numeracy across the curriculum.
• Expertise in implementing high-impact teaching strategies addressing diverse learning needs.
• Ability to monitor and assess student learning and provide feedback to students and parents.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-level teaching and learning practice.
• Model classroom practice including teaching demonstration lessons.
• Collaborate with school leadership to define effective teacher practice.
• Lead whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
• Lead professional learning including observation and feedback processes for teachers.
• Model effective learning practices and support teachers to act on feedback.
• Provide evidence-based feedback to teaching staff.
• Advise on context, processes, and strategies for professional learning.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers and coach teachers.
• Model use of student data to inform teaching approaches.
• Develop school-wide professional learning structures and protocols.
