Job summary

Based in Melbourne, the role operates under hybrid working arrangements with on-site and remote days, and involves collaboration with leadership to advance curriculum and assessment practices across VHAP.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expert knowledge of the curriculum and ability to model exemplary teaching.
• Experience leading high impact teaching strategies and evaluating learning growth.
• Ability to model monitoring of student learning and provide feedback to families.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for school-wide collaboration.
• Proven capacity to design and lead professional learning and coaching.
• Expert use of student data to inform teaching and drive improvement.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-level expertise in teaching and learning practice.
• Model classroom practice via demonstration lessons and coaching.
• Collaborate with leadership to shape effective teaching across the school.
• Lead and model whole-school improvement strategies in curriculum delivery.
• Facilitate professional learning communities and peer observation processes.
• Provide feedback on practice and student learning growth to staff and families.
• Offer expert advice on learning context, processes and professional development.
• Supervise and mentor student teachers and coaching teachers.
• Promote data-informed teaching and use VTLM2.0/online learning tools.
• Develop school-wide professional learning structures and protocols.
