Job summary

BlueFit Swimming is hiring Swim Instructors to teach water safety and develop confidence in learners of all ages on our pool decks across 65+ venues nationwide.

Flexible hours with weekday afternoons and weekend shifts are available. We support you through training for Swim Teacher, First Aid, and CPR certifications at discounted rates, with paid learning and ongoing coaching from a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Current Swim Teacher certification with First Aid & CPR.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications.
• Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Delivering structured learn-to-swim lessons following the BlueFit curriculum.
• Encouraging and celebrating student progress to build water confidence.
• Creating a warm, welcoming and safe environment for swimmers and families.
• Communicating student progress with parents and guardians.
• Upholding high standards of aquatic safety and child protection at all times.

What the Role is Really About

Our Swim Instructors are the heart and soul of our learn-to-swim programs. You’ll teach essential water safety skills, build water confidence, and make every lesson engaging and fun for students of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering fun, structured learn-to-swim lessons following the BlueFit curriculum.

• Encouraging, motivating, and celebrating student progress to build lifelong water confidence.

• Creating a warm, welcoming, and safe environment for swimmers and their families.

• Communicating student progress with parents and guardians with enthusiasm.

• Upholding high standards of aquatic safety and child protection at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Instructors: Current Swim Teacher certification (AUSTSWIM, Swim Australia, or SISSS00112) with First Aid & CPR.

• Trainee Instructors: No experience needed—just a passion for working with children, strong communication skills, and a willingness to complete the required training!

• Essential Requirements (or willing to obtain):

  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid & HLTAID009 Provide CPR

  • Current Working with Children Check

  • National Police Check
