Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a Learn to Swim Instructor to teach across the Aqua Learn to Swim program at our aquatic centres. You plan and deliver lessons, assess progress, manage attendance, and provide feedback to parents and carers in a supportive environment.

You will work with fellow instructors and venue staff to ensure high-quality lessons, respond to customer enquiries, and help participants achieve milestones.

Qualifications

• Plan and deliver Learn to Swim lessons with a focus on safety.
• Assess progress and provide feedback to parents or carers.
• Maintain class attendance records and communicate with participants.

Responsibilities

• Teach swimmers of all ages across Aqua Learn to Swim program.
• Monitor swimmer safety and respond to customer enquiries.
• Collaborate with other instructors and venue staff to deliver quality lessons.
• Create a safe, positive environment to support learning.
