Job summary

Blacktown City Council is seeking a Learn to Swim Instructor to deliver the Aqua Learn to Swim program across our aquatic centres. You will plan lessons, assess progress, manage attendance and provide feedback to parents within a supportive team.

This casual role involves after school, weekend and holiday shifts, with ongoing training and development and access to wellbeing programs. You will contribute to safety and confidence in swimming for all ages.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Learn to Swim programs preferred.
• Ability to teach swimmers of all ages.
• Create a safe, positive learning environment for participants.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Learn to Swim lessons across aquatic centres.
• Assess progress and provide feedback to parents and carers.
• Manage class attendance and keep records up to date.
• Maintain swimmer safety and respond to customer enquiries.
• Collaborate with other instructors and venue staff to deliver quality programs.
