Job summary

DLF Seeds in Melbourne is seeking a hands-on Leading Hand – Processing to oversee day-to-day processing in the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety.

You will supervise tasks in the processing room, allocate resources, train teammates, maintain records and support inventory control while collaborating with other departments.

Qualifications

• Experience in a processing environment is preferred.

• LF forklift licence (reach truck experience preferred; training available).

Leading Hand – Processing

We are seeking a hands onLeading Hand – Processingto join our Melbourne Warehouse team. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day processing activities, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate manufacturing tasks within the processing room
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
• Monitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets.
• Support and train team members to achieve performance goals.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with inventory control.

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in a processing environment, ideally in a leading hand role.

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ideally experienced LF Forklift licence, preferable reach truck, we can train.
